Celebrate books and reading, and words – spoken, sung and recited Ocean County Library’s 10th BookFest! A Festival of Words. The outdoor festival features talks by authors, booksigning, crafts, music, dance and of course food, balloons and our favorite furry character Sparks!

Joining us for BookFest this year are authors Ricky Riccardi, whose biography Louis Armstrong: the Later Years was written up in the New York Times, Fran Capo, author of It Happened in New Jersey, is the Guinness Book of World Records fastest talking female, Artie Bennett presents his hilarious rhyming “The Butt Book” for the younger set, and author Carlotta Holton supplies some vampire-mania for the Teen crowd.

Other features include Kevin Mullin, The Student Athlete’s Guide for the Future, Patricia Robinson – The New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail and Wonderwalks, Jeff Cohen The Asperger Parent: How to Raise a Child with Asperger Syndrome and Maintain Your Sense of Humor as well as some intentionally funny murder mysteries.

Mr. Scott ‘The Music Man’ will deliver a uniquely creative and energetic high energy, very wacky, warm hearted music and movement experience for children and their families.

Celebrate the amazing repertoire of beloved American, the legendary “Man in Black”, Johnny Cash Tribute with the Basement Musicicans Tony Pileggi, Rick Hohowski and Tom Rutt.

Puppet show, crafts for kids and teens, dance performances – and much more!

JenniCakes will be there vending along with holding a childrens cupcake demo and a hands on demonstration for the teens. See you all there!
